MN Legislature Offers “State’s Rights Bills”
2010 March 17
With all this talk of the “Deem Scheme” or “Slaughter Solution”, the Minnesota House of Representatives has two bills before them that would protect Minnesotans from sweeping federal legislation, and the government Take Over of Health Care.

Call, phone, fax, e-mail, or visit your state representative and urge them to support these bills. While you’re at it, tell Gov. Pawlenty that we as a state need to assert our 10th amendment rights.
Threaten to “Recall” if they won’t represent you. Recall Info and Petition Form

Hey, fellas, this is all a great waste of your time. Your representative can tell you whatever he thinks you would like to hear (not that this will change the way you’re going to vote, but he would like to shut you up), because none of these bills will emerge from committee. The people who wrote them, by the way, know that. There will not be a recorded vote on any of them. And Timmy can agree with you 200% on whatever your interpretation of the 10th might be. Doesn’t mean a thing. The lawsuits brought by other state AGs are going no place. All of them know that.
Seeing you marching about waving signs don’t mean much to a politician. They look at the crowd, determine at a glance how many of you voted for them last time and will vote for the other guy this time, decide the number is less than ten, and do whatever they were going to do before they saw your sign.
You might study a little history. Read up on the Non-Partisan League.
Have a nice day.
Please tell me, when a person who has health care insurance through their employer, loses their job, what happens to their coverage? And when a person loses their coverage, does it matter which party they are afiliated with. I truly believe there is very little knowledge about health care in the minds of a lot of people. When you are denied a claim by a health insurance beauacrat, what do you call that? Crys of socialism ring a bit hollow when the folks yelling the loadest know nothing about single payer plans and how they work. Go live in the UK for a few years and then come back and tell me about it. Oh, and while you are there you will be covered by the NHS ! !
